How Does LAYAWAY work?

Getting Started

Step 1: Sign Up to LAYAWAY

Go to shop.mylayaway.co.za/login
Enter your first and last name, your mobile number, and choose a secure password. (Sign-up screen pictured below)

Create your LAYAWAY account.

Step 2: Start your first LAYAWAY

Simply choose one of our partner’s products from our shop, savings category, or create your own custom LAYAWAY pocket for whatever you choose.

Once you’ve started your first LAYAWAY, you can start transferring funds to it from your balance (learn how to recharge your balance here) or invite friends and family to contribute with you.

Step 3: Recharge your balance

Step 4: Redeem your goodies

After you complete your savings journey, you will receive a LAYAWAY Voucher to use on our partner’s platform to complete your purchase. You will then receive your products directly from our partner.

Recharge your balance

Step 1: Go to Your LAYAWAY Dashboard

Go to “My Balance” in the side bar menu by clicking on the menu icon in the top
left corner of your browser window. Or click here.
Click the “Recharge Balance” button at the top of your browser window.

Step 2: Recharge Balance

Click the “Recharge Balance” button at the top of your browser window.

Choose your payment method and enter your amount or OTT Voucher PIN (click here to buy an OTT Voucher online).

Add Friends & Family

Step 1: Select Your Layaway Pocket

Go to https://shop.mylayaway.co.za/my/layaways
Choose the LAYAWAY Pocket you want to add a member to and click “View Details”.
From the Details menu click “Invite Member”.

Step 2: Invite member

Choose between Email Address or Mobile Number contact types and enter your friend’s or family member’s details.

Enter the member’s details.

Once you click “Invite”, your friend or family member will receive an email or SMS with a link they can use to register and accept the invite to the LAYAWAY Pocket.
